Get Epic Shit Done
Here are 7 valuable insights from the book
You won’t feel the same tomorrow: The Emotions that we humans go through are not permanent. What we feel today. we will not feel tomorrow. However, what we feel today, can either make us depressed or induce us to take action.
The Worst Use of Your Time: The Worst use of your precious time is comparing yourself with others.
Ask Difficult Questions: Once you have figured out which decision to take, imagine the worst-case scenario when you make the decision. Before you decide on the answer, ask yourself if you have asked all the difficult questions.
The game of guilt: The difference between the successful and the self-critical ones is that the successful ones manage what they could be doing better by taking better actions, instead of playing the game of guilt.
The Reading Quest: Reading replaces mindless entertainment with learning and eventually leads to enlightenment. The Quest should not be to read as many books as possible. The Quest should be to absorb as much from them as possible.
Get what you want: You will get what you want in your life. when you take the actions in your life, not when you compare your life to someone else’s, and take no action because your heart is filled with envy instead of encouragement.
Learn to say NO: You are worried to say no because you care what people may think of you. The reality is, that a lot of us are raised in an environment where saying yes is a reflection of capability and saying no is a reflection of lack of intent.
Actionable Advice:
Here are 3 Actions you can start taking from these insights:
Stop Comparing: Everyone is unique and have their own strength and weaknesses. Stop comparing your life with others, and start working on your own self.
Take Actions: Instead of feeling guilty about not achieving success in your life, start taking action. Get yourself to work. Dream big and take action to fulfill them.
Say No: Start saying No to the toxic people in your life, to unhealthy food, to people distracting you from your goals. Learn to say NO.

⚡️ Reading Tip
Declutter your Mind & Reading Space
Declutter your mind before reading.
Whenever you get any thoughts just write them down on a piece of paper and return back to your reading.
Also If you read in a cluttered environment, you won’t be able to focus on your reading and will be prone to getting distracted. Organizing your reading environment will help you focus more and read peacefully.

🎉 New Concept To learn
Welcome to my favourite section in our newsletter where I share a new concept every week to learn something new and improve our lives.
This Week’s concept is the Carlson’s Law of Productivity
Carlson’s law is also called the “Law of homogeneous sequences,” which states that interrupted work will be less effective and will take more time than if it were completed in a continuous manner.
Carlson’s Law
Carlson’s law emphasizes on focusing one task at a time for an extended period yields overall better results than constantly switching back and forth between tasks.
Because of the inevitable delays required to get back to effective work after each interruption, the entire task’s duration will be longer.
For example:
For example, Sometimes when we are doing some kind of work leave it in between, saying that I’ll return to it afterward. Then it takes more time to complete that same work.
Students can use this Law to increase their productivity
To apply this law, students can:
Avoid multitasking
Start a task, and finish it before passing it on to the next one
Isolate themselves to limit distraction
Focus on one task at a time
Reduce distractions as much as possible
